Waldo County Soil and Water Education Director
Denise Blanchette has worked with children for the past two decades. In the last several years she has put her talents to work doing environmental education and outreach for the State of Maine Department of Environmental Protection. She is a member of The Maine Environmental Educators Association and active with science educators through out the State of Maine. Denise works to promote environmental education and conservation across the state and county by incorporating real life natural resource issues into relevant lesson plans for young learners.

All programs are custom tailored to meet the needs of each classroom and each teacher, incorporating lessons and activities from nationally recognized programs such as Project WET, Project Learning Tree, Project Wild, local resources and of course our own original activities. All lesson plans are geared to meet state and national learning standards. Whether it be year round multiple activities, a one time lesson or assistance on a special project Waldo County’s education and outreach program is ready to assist.
